Lauren Mayberry supports the Tiny But Mighty Appeal

Published on 14.09.26

Almost one year ago, we launched The Tiny But Mighty Appeal.

Since then, the appeal helped raise our monthly income, we secured three small grants, we launched Scotland’s very first wellbeing cabin with S+Co and a local primary school, we launched a brand new podcast made by and for young people, and we supported over 300 children and young people with their mental health. While we’ve been busy evaluating youth-led podcast, henna, film, uni and school projects, our monthly income started to go down again. We need a little help to get us back on track.

Another of our talented friends – Lauren Mayberry – has stepped in to support The Tiny But Mighty Appeal. As if new music from one of our favourite bands and Lauren joining Tiny Changes Big Podcast wasn’t exciting enough, you can now get your hands on LAUREN MAYBERRY X TINY CHANGES limited edition apparel, in aid of youth-led mental health projects.

The design is inspired by a lyric from the closing track ‘Are You Awake?’ on Lauren’s debut solo album, Vicious Creature, released in December 2024. When we started this project, Lauren shared some of her favourite lyrics and songs. There was plenty to choose from – she has written lots of powerful music that relates to and helps others with mental health. We hope you love ‘It’s just a state of mind’ as much as we do.

You can listen to Lauren Mayberry and Kirsteen Harvey chat to host Be Charlotte in episode 3 of Tiny Changes Big Podcast or watch it here on YouTube. It’s a great discussion about mental health, being a musician and public figure, online hate and misogyny. The podcast was dreamed up and delivered by Tiny Changes project leader Kayla Megan-Burns.

50% of proceeds from LAUREN MAYBERRY X TINY CHANGES sales directly support The Tiny But Mighty Appeal.

Pre-order for a limited time only. Sales will end at 11pm BST on Sunday 16 November and we plan to ship the parcels to you early December. Order from our online shop.

Lauren Mayberry is the kind of artist who gives young people the courage to speak up for equality and makes me feel proud to be Scottish. Tiny Changes is grateful to be part of the important causes Lauren advocates for, from trans rights, to feminism, safe migration, teenage cancer care and supporting young musicians. Thank you Lauren and your team for helping young minds feel better.

The Tiny But Mighty Appeal

Tiny Changes delivers life-changing, creative safe spaces for young people’s mental health and we’re proud that this work is truly youth-led. Like all small charities, we’re up against a harsh funding climate. Without bigger and long-term income, we won’t be able to recruit new young leaders and co-produce more youth-led mental health projects. The Tiny But Mighty Appeal was created to try to raise as much money as we can for this early, preventative, arts-based work.
